ABOUT SANTISOUK MONTESSORI PRESCHOOL
Welcome to Santisouk Montessori Preschool. I am the Director of this responsive, active community-led school where each child is accepted and appreciated for their uniqueness. Santisouk provides a warm, welcoming and nurturing environment where we strive to provide children with a positive school experience while meeting the unique social, emotional, physical and cognitive developmental needs of each child. The whole school team are dedicated to providing a happy and nurturing atmosphere in which children can develop a positive self-image and love of learning.

I work closely with the School Board and the Management team to ensure we operates smoothly and aim to deliver the Mission of the school.

Our History
Santisouk Montessori Preschool was established in September 1993 and was the first Montessori school in Lao PDR.
Since opening, Santisouk has been home to hundreds of preschoolers from all over the world.
Santisouk has always been a school that values diversity. As well as a significant number of Lao children, the school currently has children enrolled from 19 different countries. During 28 years of operation Santisouk has established a reputation for providing a caring, friendly and welcoming environment for children from all backgrounds to learn and grow.
Our Structure
The school has two governing bodies:

• General Assembly of Members, comprised of all parents; and
• the School Board (the Board).
The Board of Directors is made up of elected volunteer parents who are responsible for providing direction on school governance while the broader school management is the responsibility of the School Director. Any parent can be a board member. The board meets every 6 to 8 weeks, with participation of the School Director. A copy of the school constitution can be found at the administration office.
